Every year, from February 3rd to 11th (the day of the first apparition), the whole world turns to the Grotto of Massabielle. This novena is a nine-day spiritual journey to prepare for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. It invites us to rediscover the joy of forgiveness, confidence, and the light of Mary’s smile. Say the novena prayer.
Recite a decade of the Rosary.
Invoke: “Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!”
“Saint Bernadette, pray for us!”
“O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!”
Mass and Communion on February 11th.
Confession is recommended during the octave.

Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, You who appeared in the hollow of the rock of Massabielle To Bernadette, a small and simple shepherdess of Bigorre, You brought her the radiant light of your smile, The gentle and radiant glow of your presence. Day by day, you built a relationship with her Where you looked at her like one person talking to another person. We are here before you, poor also, and we pray to you humbly. Grant to those who doubt, the joy of confidence, Grant to those who despair, the taste of your discreet presence. Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, You who revealed your name to Bernadette By simply saying “I am the Immaculate Conception”. Let us discover the joy of forgiveness, offered without ceasing, Place in us the desire for innocence regained and joyful holiness. Come to the aid of blinded sinners. You gave birth to the Saviour of the world, Look with tenderness on our splendid and dramatic world. Open in us the paths of hope, Guide us to the One who is the Living Source, Jesus, your Son, who teaches us to say Our Father… I choose or receive the name of a saint to accompany me. We make an act of trust or consecration to the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
